Privacy starts with authorization
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to mobdroid.com, MobDroid accounts, the Android application, the online dashboard, support communications, demos, and memberships. It describes processing by the operator of MobDroid and does not replace notices or consent that an account holder must provide to a monitored device user.
2. Your responsibilities
The account holder determines which authorized device is connected and which permissions are granted. You are responsible for establishing a lawful basis, providing required notice, obtaining required consent, and honoring the rights of the device user.
Do not submit information about another person through MobDroid unless you have legal authority to do so. If authorization ends, stop monitoring and contact support if you need help deleting associated information.
3. Information MobDroid may handle
The exact information depends on the features and Android permissions enabled on an authorized device. It may include:
- Account data: email address, password-derived security data, verification status, sessions, and account timestamps.
- Device data: device identifiers, model or hardware name, connection state, configuration, battery level, and sync timestamps.
- Location data: coordinates, accuracy, movement information, and location history.
- Communications and contacts: call records, SMS, supported messaging records, contact information, and related timestamps when the necessary permission is enabled.
- Media and audio: selected or shared gallery files and recordings created or uploaded through an enabled, disclosed feature.
- Device activity: notifications, application usage, browser history, and authorized accessibility-derived activity when enabled.
- Support and billing data: contact-form submissions, correspondence, transaction references, plan details, and payment status. Full payment-card details should be handled by the future payment provider rather than MobDroid.
- Technical data: IP address, browser or user-agent information, security logs, and information needed to prevent abuse and operate the Service.
4. How information is used
MobDroid uses information to provide authorized device monitoring and family-safety features, authenticate users, display synchronized records, maintain device connections, deliver security codes, answer support requests, administer demos and memberships, protect accounts, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and comply with lawful obligations.
Monitored-device information is not intended for behavioral advertising. We do not currently sell monitored-device data to data brokers.
5. Legal bases
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on performance of a contract, consent, compliance with legal obligations, or legitimate interests such as securing and operating the Service—provided those interests are not overridden by individual rights.
The account holder, not MobDroid, is responsible for identifying the lawful basis for monitoring another person’s device and for obtaining consent where required.
6. Sharing and service providers
Information may be processed by infrastructure, hosting, email-delivery, security, and future payment providers that help operate MobDroid. Providers should receive only the information reasonably necessary for their function and are expected to protect it under appropriate terms.
Information may also be disclosed when required by valid law, to protect users or the Service from serious harm or abuse, in connection with a legitimate business reorganization, or when you direct or authorize the disclosure.
7. Retention and deletion
Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain security and records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention can vary by data category and account status.
You may request deletion of your account or associated data by contacting support. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting. Some limited records may be retained where required for fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, backup cycling, or enforcement of agreements.
8. Security
MobDroid uses administrative and technical safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. These include account authentication, access controls, encrypted network connections, and restricted service credentials where appropriate.
No internet service or storage system is perfectly secure. Protect your account credentials, keep your devices updated, and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
9. Children and family use
MobDroid is offered to adult account holders for lawful parental and family-safety purposes. It is not directed to children for independent account creation or purchase.
Parents and guardians are responsible for complying with laws that apply to children’s information and for giving notice or obtaining consent where required. Contact us before use if you are unsure whether a child’s information may lawfully be processed.
10. Cookies and local storage
MobDroid uses an essential session cookie to keep signed-in users authenticated. The dashboard may use browser local storage to remember interface preferences such as light or dark mode. These technologies are used for core operation and preferences, not cross-site advertising.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. You may also have a right to complain to an appropriate privacy regulator.
To make a request, email support@mobdroid.com. We may request information necessary to verify your identity, account relationship, and authority over the data.
12. International processing
MobDroid and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards should be used for international transfers.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the Service, law, security practices, or providers. The current version and its “Last updated” date will remain available on this page.
14. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact support@mobdroid.com or use the MobDroid contact form.
